Maersk will revise its Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for dry container shipments from South Asia to Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The revised surcharge will take effect on 15 August 2026 and remain valid until further notice.
The PSS will cover shipments originating from:
The destination scope includes Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Maersk will apply a surcharge of US$1,500 to all dry containers.
The surcharge applies to non-SPOT bookings. Maersk will determine the rate through the applicable Price Calculation Date (PCD).
For non-FMC shipments, the PCD is the scheduled departure date of the first water leg. Maersk will use the date available when it confirms the booking.
For FMC shipments, the PCD is the last container gate-in date.
The PSS does not apply to SPOT bookings. Meanwhile, the payment terms will follow the freight payment terms.
Other applicable surcharges may also apply, including local and contingency charges.
The revised rates do not change tariffs that Maersk has notified, published or filed under local regulatory requirements.
For trades under the US Shipping Act or China Maritime Regulations, different quotations or surcharges will not bind Maersk unless formally included in a filed service contract or amendment.
