Port of Tauranga has announced the appointment of Kura Poulava as General Manager Corporate Services, with Kura joining the port in November.
She replaces Melanie Dyer, who departed the role in June.
Kura is currently General Manager Human Resources at EastPack and brings more than 20 years of experience in senior people and culture leadership roles across large operational organisations.
Her expertise spans workforce strategy, employment relations, health and safety, remuneration, leadership development and organisational change.
Prior to joining EastPack in 2020, she spent 11 years as Human Resources Director at Go Bus and has held senior HR roles with Hamilton City Council, The Warehouse Group, Fonterra and Canpac International. She holds a Master of Management Studies from the University of Waikato.
Chief Executive Leonard Sampson described Kura as a candidate of exceptional calibre, highlighting her proven ability to build high-performing teams as particularly valuable as Port of Tauranga continues to grow and invest in its people and future capability.
