ADM is expanding its Scottish operations with new storage and berthing capacity at the Port of Greenock.
The new operations will strengthen the company’s import, storage and distribution capabilities in Scotland. They will also improve access to key feed ingredients.
The Greenock facility is owned by Peel Ports Group and will complement ADM’s existing operations at King George V Dock in Glasgow.
Together, the Glasgow and Greenock locations will create a more integrated logistics network on the River Clyde.
The additional capacity will allow ADM to handle more cargo and improve supply chain flexibility. In addition, the company expects the expansion to strengthen services for feed customers across Scotland.
“Expanding our footprint from Glasgow to Greenock is an important step for ADM’s operations in the region,” said Jonathan Lane, Managing Director, ADM Agriculture Ltd and ADM UK Country Manager.
“The additional capacity and logistics capability will help us operate more efficiently, strengthen supply chain resilience and support our customers’ evolving needs across Scotland. Our relationship with Peel Ports Group has been instrumental in supporting ADM Agriculture’s growth in Scotland over recent years,” he added.
Peel Ports Group also highlighted the importance of the investment for Scotland’s agricultural supply chain.

Meanwhile, Scotland’s feed market continues to evolve, with demand for imported feed materials increasing.
ADM expects its expanded presence at Greenock to help meet these changing requirements. The company said the additional capacity will also support the long-term competitiveness of Scottish agriculture.
The Greenock facility is scheduled to become operational later in 2026.
