Misurata Free Zone (MFZ) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo and the Libyan Italian Chamber of Commerce to strengthen economic cooperation and expand investment opportunities between Libya and Italy.
The agreements establish a framework for collaboration in investment, trade, logistics, ports and industry. They also aim to attract more Italian investment to Misurata Free Zone while supporting joint business ventures and the exchange of market intelligence and expertise.
Under the partnership, the three organizations will organize business forums, trade missions, B2B meetings and specialized workshops. They will also promote institutional cooperation to create new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
The collaboration seeks to strengthen Misurata Free Zone’s role as a gateway to African markets by leveraging its strategic location and logistics capabilities.
The agreements were signed following MFZ’s investment promotion roadshow in Rome and form part of the free zone’s strategy to expand its international partnership network.
Misurata Free Zone said the partnerships will help reinforce its position as a regional logistics and investment hub connecting Europe and Africa, while supporting trade growth and attracting high-quality investments.
