The Port Authority of Valencia has put out to tender the management and technical operation of ValenciaportPCS, the platform that allows public and private stakeholders in the port community to exchange information securely.
The contract is worth more than EUR 7.9 million and has an implementation period of 24 months from the date of award.
The tender specifications set the basic terms for contracting the service for the 2027-2029 period.
The successful bidder will manage a platform intended to improve the competitiveness and coordination of all port community members and of the activities each one carries out.
Information flows at Valenciaport are complex: every movement of goods requires multiple communications among many stakeholders, creating a dense network of exchanges, and the platform is meant to keep pace with growing demand for services from the sector.
ValenciaportPCS currently offers more than 30 transactional and information services to over 1,100 companies and public bodies.
It optimises and automates port and logistics processes through a single submission of data, while linking transport and logistics chains.
The platform evolves continuously, whether to adapt its technology to legislative changes or to add new functionality.
