IAPH welcomes North Queensland Bulk Ports and TasPorts as new members

The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has expanded its global membership with the addition of two Australian port authorities, North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation Limited (NQBP) and TasPorts, as regular members.

North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation is a Queensland Government-owned port authority responsible for the management, planning, development and operation of the ports of Hay Point, Abbot Point, Mackay and Weipa. As one of Australia’s largest port authorities, NQBP supports the export of bulk commodities while promoting safe, efficient and sustainable port operations.

TasPorts, owned by the Tasmanian Government, manages ten ports across Tasmania as well as Devonport Airport. The company handles around 99% of Tasmania’s freight through its port network and provides integrated port and marine services supporting trade, transport, tourism and Antarctic logistics.

The addition of both organisations further strengthens IAPH’s membership across the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces its global network of ports committed to sustainable and efficient maritime operations.
