Maersk has confirmed that London Gateway Port has resumed accepting empty containers.
The restrictions were lifted at 12:00 on 26 October 2026. Empty containers can now be returned to the terminal under normal procedures.
The announcement follows Maersk’s previous customer advisory issued on 23 October.
Vehicle Booking System slots are now available. Hauliers must secure a VBS booking before sending empty containers to the terminal.
Customers and transport operators should continue checking MATS Online for the latest empty-container return instructions.
Maersk said it will monitor operations at London Gateway and provide further updates if conditions change.
